Yoga has been a steady companion through many seasons of my life. It has helped me navigate change, settle my nervous system, and find calm when things felt overwhelming. These experiences shaped the way I practise, teach, and share yoga today.

Hello, I'm Clare

I’m a retired Detective Sergeant with 30 years service in Avon and Somerset Police. My career was filled with variety, purpose, and challenge—and while I navigated most of it with resilience, some moments left me feeling completely overwhelmed.

 

Around ten years ago, I reached a point of severe work-related burnout. It was one of the hardest experiences of my life, leaving me physically exhausted and mentally broken. Exercise had always been my outlet, but suddenly I had no energy or desire for it. Determined to support myself, I began exploring self-help tools and soon discovered meditation and yoga.

Meditation didn’t come naturally at first. I was someone who never sat still, with a constant “monkey mind,” but even then it offered small, precious moments of clarity and calm. Craving more of that peace - and not seeking anything intense - I tried online yoga. A 30-Day Yoga Challenge with Yoga With Adriene was all it took for me to fall in love with the practice. Whenever and wherever I stepped onto my mat, I felt better, sometimes within minutes.

 

Menopause in my late 40s, highlighted lifelong challenges I didn’t yet have a name for. This eventually led to an ADHD diagnosis in 2022. Once again, meditation and yoga became lifelines, helping me stay calm, centred, focused, and strong - mentally and physically.

In November 2024 I commenced 220 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, with Yoga In Nature, and by July 2025 I qualified as a Yoga Professionals 'Accredited Certified Yoga Teacher'. 

Today, I share these practices because I know how truly transformative they can be. My mission is to support others in finding balance, resilience, and wellbeing through accessible, compassionate movement and mindfulness.
